Hosted by Light Gallery + Erika Townsley
Monday, May 7th from 6 to 9pm
Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned artist, learning how to create image transfers will introduce you to a whole new world of imagery in your work. Erika will walk you through the best methods for a range of techniques using inexpensive materials. These processes can be added to paintings, fiber art, collage, or mixed media artwork. Artists, photographers, and anyone interested in photo-based mixed media will love this class!
Erika Townsley is an artist and curator at The Light Gallery + Studio in Grand Rapids, MI. Townsley is experienced in image transfers, and uses them in her work frequently. Image transfers provide a hands on feel to photography, and creates an end result that is less perfect, and allows the artist to have more control over the end result. Image transfer is an approachable form of art that is super easy to learn!
