Lisa Price, artist and the queen of the vintage find, joins us this week on Light Conversations to talk about her journey to becoming a full-time artist and vintage goods proprietor.
Fiber artist Sierra Cole combines both fine art and functional art in her wool creations. One of her most common creations are her felted hats, which she estimates she makes 400 per year. But Sierra also makes woven scarves on a loom, and spins her own raw wool to make yarn.
We sat down with artist Steve Uren, who creates everything from table and dressers to cutting boards, to clocks on the walls, to entire bedroom sets, all with lots of inlaid wood design created from Michigan wood. In this conversation, we learn about the process of inlay in woodworking and where Steve finds his inspiration and the role design plays in his decisions.
